The 28" barrels feel much better balanced, and swing more smoothly. If I was doing it over again today, I'd have bought the 28" barrels and lived with the Mod/Full chokes, or had them opened later. Mine had 26" barrels, because I wanted IC and Mod. Two years ago Joel Etchen offered me $750 for it as trade in value. LOP:14', 2 3/4' chamber, choked Improved / Modified. NB - EXCELLENT- near new condition 95 - 98, used but little, no noticeable marring of wood or metal, bluing near perfect (some wear at muzzle or sharp edges can be expected). There is some paint xfer on the top serrated rib from a bump against something painted white. Maybe it was stored in a case, the pits are uniformly distributed. The barrels are another story, starting to pit especially the bottom one along the full length and they both show bumps and bruises. It stands out, might be better if it were blue. The set screw is silver in color and placed to disable the safety then. I think they figure Im up to something like paying $400 for their $900 gun. I didnt get to try the bump thing, the lady barely let me hold it this time for some reason. Your right, I have handled and shot dbl bbls before but my knowledge with them is limited and I have never seen one that wouldnt dry fire both barrels without a bump.
